The Sweetest Gift
Every single one of us craves the feeling of being part of something bigger than ourselves. At Employment Innovations, our partnership with The Sweetest Gift takes the cake; contributing to our community like no other. Seriously, there is no other charity in Australia supporting this community in any other way.
Founded in 2017 by Patricia Scheetz; a qualified pastry chef, chronic illness warrior and transplant recipient, The Sweetest Gift aims to be an understanding employer โ to support transplant recipients and people living with chronic illnesses by providing a stable, flexible and inclusive workplace โ something that many people take for granted. The stability of ongoing work gives hope, connection and promotes self-worth.
Patricia discovered her life’s purpose to help people in similar situations to her own. She realised that her dream of running her own dessert restaurant would be that much sweeter if she could support people just like herself, so that they didn’t have to go through the same employment struggles that she had been forced to.
Black Dog Institute
Communities with an external purpose exist to take care of others. The members come together to support each other, learn from each other, inspire each other, to feel a sense of safety and belonging.
At Employment Innovations, our partnership with the Black Dog Institute strives to contribute to the community of workplace mental health advocacy and create a mentally healthier world for everyone.
The Black Dog Institute is aย research driven organisation committed to the understanding, prevention and treatment of mental illness and the reduction of suicide rates in our community.
The Medical Research Institute in Australia researches the best practice in delivering mental health support to people, anywhere in the country and at any stage of life.
Driven by science, compassion and action, they transform their research and knowledge into easily accessible, practical programs and services across the broader community.
