The Fair Work Commission announced its minimum wage ruling this afternoon for the 2016/17 financial year.

Minimum Wage Decision 2016

From the first full pay period after 1 July 2016, all award rates of pay will increase by 2.4%.

If you have an enterprise agreement or any other form of collective agreement, your rates of pay will also likely increase as a result of this ruling. However, in most cases you will not have to pass the increase on in full.

Employment Innovations can calculate the correct rates of pay for your enterprise agreement for the upcoming financial year.  The update will give you peace of mind knowing that you are compliant with the law, while not paying more than is legally necessary.
