Roar Projects is the corporate brand behind some of Melbourne’s most well known hospitality venues. Ms Collins is one of Roar Project’s flagship event spaces featuring 7 unique bars and 12 function rooms set in the heart of Melbourne city. With over 60 staff required on site across the busy weekend periods, with most in a casual capacity working non-standard hours, Roar Projects is constantly hiring with the process taking up a fair amount of time. Simployable, as the newly launched Outsourced Employment brand, was looking for clients to test its recruitment solution which aligned with an immediate requirement from Ms Collins for hospitality staff.
As the venue manager of Ms Collins, Courtney was managing the entire recruitment process internally for a venue that had an average tenure of about 6 months. With an upcoming event and an immediate need for 2-3 bartenders, Simployable’s turn-key recruitment offering presented the perfect solution.
Within 3 days, Simployable was able to utilise its experience in finding casual hospitality staff to immediately shortlist, interview and present to Courtney a total of 7 staff suitable for an immediate start at Ms Collins. After a shortened interview process at the venue a total of 5 were accepted for trial shifts with most of them continuing to work at Ms Collins for a period of 6 months or more, which is “a long time in the nightclub world”.
Courtney was able to spend less time on recruitment in the knowledge that Simployable was able to deliver high-quality, pre-screened hospitality candidates at short notice.
