Implementation of Cloud-Based HR Software

Hi, Iโ€™m Alana from Employment Innovations and Iโ€™m here to provide your business with an introduction to Principle 1 of our 8 Lean HR Principles.

 

Principle 1 is to use self-service, cloud based, HR software to simplify HR management and administration.

The implementation and use of software is a huge part of Lean HR as it is important when we are attempting to reduce what we call โ€œwasteโ€. Itโ€™s important that your limited HR resources are spending their time implementing projects that are going to add value and directly impact the achievement of your business objectives.

HR Software not only enables you to reduce your administration, but it enables you to automate historically manual processes which can reduce human error. Cloud based software also now enables you to have access to your important information, securely, from anywhere and at any time.

A thoughtful and thorough software implementation can provide huge improvements to the employee lifecycle and the overall employee experience. Using the new starter process as an example, it goes without saying that a paperless onboarding experience far outweighs a manual one by expediting document sending and removing any potential delays in retrieving new employee information. Beyond this though, a well-structured and professional onboarding experience has been seen to greatly increase the likelihood of someone staying with an organisation past their probationary period. Itโ€™s not only about what youโ€™re saying to your new starters, but itโ€™s how, and in a hybrid and remote working world, you may be solely communicating with your team virtually so software is pivotal.
