The federal agency tasked with shaping the future of Australia’s workplace safety and workers’ compensation policy has recently released its 2023-33 strategy. The strategy addresses ongoing and emerging challenges in work health and safety, such as managing psychosocial risks, the rise of artificial intelligence, automation, and related technologies, as well as new types of work.
In this webinar, our CEO Shane Duffy and Head of Safety Rianna Shanks provided guidance on how to manage risk through a fit-for-purpose WHS management system and explore the changing legislative requirements for businesses and workers to manage risks in the workplace, both physical and psychological.
Shane and Rianna explored the following topics:
- Safe Work Australia’s 2023-33 Strategy;
- WHS legislative obligations in Australia;
- Specific challenges faced by small and medium-sized businesses;
- WHS best practices;
- The use of AI tools and technology;
- Other areas of risk outside of work, health and safety matters;
- And much more
